Leaders Committed to the Fraternal Movement
January 26, 2012

Timothy M. Burke, Sean P. Callan, John E. Christopher and Daniel J. McCarthy have recently announced the establishment of Fraternal Law Partners, the nation’s only law practice dedicated to legal issues impacting fraternities, sororities, student life organizations and their related educational and charitable foundations. The practice builds upon 70 years of combined legal expertise in fraternal law.

Fraternal Law Partners provide services in real estate and housing, corporate governance, employment issues, tax and grant-making – as well as risk management, anti-hazing education, crisis and incident management, litigation and other liability issues.

“John Christopher and Sean Callan have provided excellent service, in particular to Pi Phi Chapter House Corporations in getting projects qualified for charitable contributions through our Educational Area Grant Program (EAGP) partnerships,” said Teri Chadwick, Executive Director for Pi Beta Phi Foundation. “They are great partners working on behalf of Pi Phi with our own Foundation counsel, and we recommend their work regularly, especially in terms of housing projects. This is a terrific new opportunity that will serve the fraternal community – including Pi Phi – very well going forward.”
