Read. Lead. Achieve. and The Literacy Fund
January 19, 2012

Pi Phi’s dedication to literacy and education dates directly back to 1912 and the Pi Beta Phi Settlement School, making literacy service an essential part of Pi Beta Phi for 100 years.

Read. Lead. Achieve. brings together all the various aspects of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity’s important literacy work under one umbrella and will continue Pi Phi’s philanthropic work well into the next century.  Read. Lead. Achieve. encompasses everything from Arrow in the Arctic to Champions are Readers® to First Book® to local initiatives to literacy research - programs all across the United States and Canada, where Pi Beta Phi is making a difference.

The Foundation and the Fraternity have partnered to streamline the donation process for Read. Lead. Achieve. literacy initiatives. All literacy donations can be made to The Literacy Fund, administered by Pi Beta Phi Foundation.

The Literacy Fund will enable the financial resources of a member organization 140,000+ strong to come together to promote literacy in a strategic, cohesive way.

Since 2000, Pi Beta Phi Foundation has granted more than $720,000 for Pi Beta Phi literacy programs in communities all across the United States and Canada. Our goal for 2012 is $200,000 in funding for Read. Lead. Achieve. initiatives.
