

Peggy was elected as a trustee in 2006. As a former PR & Marketing professional, Peggy brings to the Foundation significant communications expertise. Her career experience includes Vice President Communications & Vice President Investor Relations for Corrections Corporation of America and Account Executive for Dye, Van Mol and Lawrence Public Relations. She served as Vice President Research for Morgan Keegan & Co, an investment banking firm, during which time she earned her Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Peggy’s experience brings a comprehensive knowledge of best practices regarding both employee and volunteer management. Prior to joining the Foundation, Peggy served the Fraternity as chairman of the Legislative Committee.
Peggy has many passions in life including her husband Tom, her new grandson, her gardening business, playing the piano and studying the Bible.

Newly elected as a trustee in 2008, Karen comes to the Foundation with a wealth of fundraising and board experience. After losing her brother to AIDS fifteen years ago, Karen began fundraising for The Malta Center & Body Positive, an HIV/AIDS Community Based Research and Resource Center, chairing their black tie gala Night for Life and the Children’s Concert. She has served on a number of boards and committees in the Phoenix area including The Crisis Nursery (Board Chairman), The Phoenix Symphony (Chairman), The Heart Ball benefiting the American Heart Association (Vice Chairman) and The St. Barnabas Foundation (Trustee).
Karen & her husband Craig received the Lifetime Philanthropic Award in 2003 from Body Positive and have also been recognized for their support of The Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix. Karen has served the Foundation as a member and chairman of Graduate Fellowship Committee and as a very effective member of the Major Donors Committee for our recent Campaign. She was also Chairman for the 2007 Pi Beta Phi Convention held in Phoenix.
Karen participates in many activities with her children Madison & Jackson (15) and Harrison (11) and currently volunteers in the high school office. Karen enjoys traveling with her family, reading, listening to music, walking on the beach and playing tennis.

Kathy is currently the Chief Financial Officer of EFT Source, a supplier for debit, ATM and credit cards. Prior to joining EFT, she worked with numerous entrepreneurial companies, focusing on small business stragic development. She also served as a Senior Business Consultant with the Small Business Development Center.
An alumnus of Leadership Nashville, Kathy's passion is to leas and serve and make a difference. She has provided extensive support for the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, serving on the Board of Education as both Vice-Chair and Policy & Finance Chair. She also served as Chairman of the Parent Advisory Council and participated as a Surrogate Parent. In recognition of her dedication and leadership in the public schools, Kathy received the PENCIL Foundation Bronson Ingram Award. Current community service includes: PENCIL Foundation Board, Belmont United Methodist Church Trust (Chair), Greenways of Nashville Board, and the Hermitage, Home of President Andrew Jackson, Board of Regents (Treasurer).
Kathy is married to Pat Nevill and they have two children - Leigh (23) and Kyle (19). Her hobbies include remodeling & gardening with husband Pat and finding treasures - used and 70% off. Kathy was elected to the Foundation board in 2007.

Bimi’s service to the Foundation began in 2005 as Grand Vice President Programming for Pi Beta Phi Fraternity. In 2007, she transitioned to elected status. While on Grand Council, Bimi created the Fraternity’s literacy vision, introduced resources to assist members in promoting literacy and forged the initial partnership between the Fraternity and First Book. Bimi is a charter member of the Tucson First Book Advisory Board.
In addition, Ms. Huebner has worked with the local Susan G. Komen for the Cure affiliate for the past ten years, serving on the board as Race for the Cure Chair, Outreach & Development Chair, and now as Governance Chair. She has also served on the Advisory Board. Additional community service has included: Tee Up For Tots Tournament Committee; Junior League of Tucson (Community Programs Chair, Placement Advisor; Membership Council Sustaining Advisor); and The Parent Connection (Advisory Board).
Bimi is a recipient of Pi Phi’s Carolyn Helman Lichtenburg Crest Award for Community Service as well as two Komen awards: the Cameo Award for providing exceptional service to local breast health needs and the Coldwater Creek Spirit of Service Award. Bimi was also profiled in “Tucson Giving”, a column in the Arizona Daily Star for her work with Komen.
Prior to becoming a full-time volunteer, Bimi worked for the U.S. Navy for ten years as an engineer. In her spare time, she enjoys remodeling & decorating her home and golfing with her husband Joel.

Tammie Beckwith Schallmo is a Managing Director in the public finance practice at PMA Securities in Naperville, Illinois. Since 1997 she has served as an investment banker on over 300 bond issues for school districts and community colleges in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. Ms. Beckwith Schallmo has 11 years of experience in the public finance industry and was previously the director of finance in two Illinois school districts for five years, as well.
Tammie is an active member of the Illinois Association of School Business Officials (“IASBO”) and the Association of School Business Officials International. Additionally, Tammie was President of Women in Public Finance in 2006, a national organization that cultivates networking and professional development opportunities for women in the public finance industry. She has also been a presenter on topics related to the issuance of short and long term debt and school district and community college finance on both a state and national level. Tammie received her BA from the University of Illinois and her MS in school business management from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and is a registered Municipal Securities Principal with Series 7, 53 and 63 securities licenses.
Tammie was President of the Pi Phi chapter at the University of Illinois
(Illinois Zeta) before graduating in 1991. She served as a Traveling Graduate Consultant for the Fraternity for one year and also served on the Alumnae Advisory Committee at Illinois Epsilon and as a Collegiate Province President.
Tammie and her husband, Chris are proud parents of their two children, Nick (3) and Shannon (1). The family lives in Highland Park, Illinois. In her spare time Tammie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, golfing, curling, running, baking and rooting for the Chicago Cubs.


Mary starts her service as a Trustee in her role as the newly elected Grand President of Pi Beta Phi. Initiated at Oklahoma Beta, Oklahoma State University her journey through Pi Phi has included experience in both the collegiate and the alumnae segments of the Fraternity membership. She served on the Collegiate Programming Committee and has recently been the New Chapter Assistance Office for MS Gamma. Her alumnae experience includes founding two clubs and serving as an officer in four clubs – Richardson/Plano, Northern Virginia, Lake Cities, and Dallas. Her leadership roles have been as president of two clubs, officers in another two, an APP for two years, the Director Alumnae Programming fortwo years, and GVPA for six years.
A professional career of 20+ years of work in the lighting industry occupied Mary for several years, including 5 years of having her own lighting design business.
A very supportive husband Tom, her TX Delta daughter Lauren, her son and his wife and two children make up her family. Travel, photography, skiing and gardening absorb any free time Mary has.

Linda’s involvement on the Foundation Board began with her election as Grand Vice President Programming at the 2007 Convention. In her position of Grand Vice President Programming, Linda oversees the Fraternity’s collegiate and alumnae programming initiatives as well as all literacy programs and partnerships. Prior to this Council position, Linda served and Grand Vice President Collegians for six years and Grand Vice President Program Development for two years, which provides a valuable insight into the needs of our collegiate members.
Linda is passionate about her family and will proudly tell you about her Pi Phi daughter Katy who is a magazine editor and her son Chris who is an Air Force Lieutenant, flying heavies. Linda’s community activities have revolved around her children and include being a mentor for Student Leadership Boulder and a member of the executive board of Colorado Parents Club for the United States Air Force Academy. In her spare time, Linda enjoys traveling, reading, needlepoint and playing golf.
